In this session, you’ll learn how to discover a colleague’s presence status.
The presence status of any colleague will always appear as a small dot, directly beneath and to the right of their profile picture. Hovering your mouse over the profile picture will also reveal the user’s presence status. You can do the same with your own profile picture and presence status.
The status can be configured by the user or by the system.

To change your presence status, click your profile picture and point to your current presence status to reveal the available options.
Select the option which best describes your status.
When you have finished doing whatever you are doing, return and select Reset status. This will ensure that the system maintains your presence status.
An even quicker way to change your presence status is to point to the Teams icon on your taskbar (assuming Teams is running) and select one of the four status options available.
